First Lady Ramona Edwards

First Lady Ramona Edwards was born and raised in East Dublin, Georgia. Though her roots sprung from there, God has granted her opportunities for growth and success, for which she continuously gives Him praises and honor. Attending, the Laurens County School System's East Laurens division, she graduated from East Laurens Comprehensive High School in 1985. While in high school, First Lady Edwards had many accomplishments, but she excelled in sports. Bestowed with the favor of God, she was privilege by our Lord to be offered and accepted a full basketball scholarship, allowing her to matriculate at Clemson University. She received a B.S. in Industrial Management from Clemson University but did not stop there. She knew that education was pivotal for advancement; therefore, she went on to obtain her B.A. in Human Resource Management from Georgia State University. God had more in store, and First Lady Edwards obtained her M.Ed. from West Alabama University in Special Education. Striving for the mark of God's approval, First Lady Edwards is an example of perseverance as she continues her educational journey. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Special Education through Northcentral University.

Giving back to the community that raised her, First Lady Edwards is employed by the Laurens County School System as the Career and Technical Instructional Coordinator for East Laurens High School where she is also the Head Coach for the Girls' Cross Country and Girls' Basketball teams. Understanding that we are servants of God, First Lady Edwards lends her time, talent, and treasure to the Lord at His request. She serves her community, church, and family with all of her heart.

Joined in marriage to Pastor Willie Edwards, Jr. in 1995, together they have 4 children: Javonda, Jamaal, Hannah, and Gabriel. They also have four grandchildren: Skylar, J'Ream, Jewel, and Jaxson. Behind the Lord, family is the cornerstone of her life. In her private time, she enjoys watching television, reading, crocheting, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Without question, above all, First Lady Edwards enjoys fulfilling the will of God. In her pursuit of Him, she finds evidence of the love that our Heavenly Father has just for us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
